How to Put a Picture in a Locket

Step 1: With scissors or an X-ACTO knife, cut your printed image using the provided shape guidelines.

Step 2: Open your Locket and locate the half circle cut out in the upper left side of the photo holder.

Step 3: Using a common straight pin, insert the pin into the circle cut out, then gently pry out the plastic cover and backer paper.

Step 4: Insert your photo into your Locket, sliding the head of the photo in first and pressing it snuggly inside.

Step 5: Place the plastic photo protector, with the half circle cut out on top, in next. Once in place, use tweezers to gently press the plastic into the notches until you hear them snap.

Caring for Your Locket

Every Legacy Touch piece is carefully crafted to honor the uniqueness of your Loved One. We know you will treasure your new Keepsake and the personal meaning that it provides. To help your Locket maintain its beauty, follow our tips on how to best care for your Jewelry.

  • Always be sure to remove your Locket before showering, swimming, or coming into contact with liquids, as our Lockets are not waterproof. Also avoid contact with chlorine and other harsh chemicals.
  • Both Gold or Sterling Silver Lockets can be wiped clean with a soft cloth.
  • Even though your Sterling Silver Locket has been rhodium plated for enduring luster, it may still tarnish over time. If you notice any discoloration, use a gentle polishing cloth made specifically for removing tarnish.

We hope that your Locket keeps you connected to the people you love. If you have any further questions, please contact us.
